How To Upload A Screenshot

Post  englishkiwi on Fri Apr 29, 2011 7:50 pm

So I've noticed a lot of people don't understand how to do this
so here is a step by step guide:

1) Take a screenshot of something you have built in Minecraft by pressing f2.
Or command+shift+3 for macs.

2) Find the screenshot you have taken in your minecraft screenshots folder.
Don't know how? Follow these instructions:

Windows:
Go to 'Start' and type into the search bar: %appdata% then screenshots can
be found in: .minecraft/screenshots
For earlier windows users go to start then run, and then follow the same instructions.

Mac:
Screenshots can be found in:
/Users//Library/Application Support/minecraft/screenshots/

3) Copy the screenshot that you want to post and put it somewhere you can
easily navigate back to. I suggest your desktop.

4) Go to http://tinypic.com/ (or a site like it) and upload your pic. For Tinypic
this means clicking on 'choose file' and finding your screenshot (on your desktop
if you followed my instructions).

5) Once you have uploaded your screenshot you should be given a list of links
that you can copy. You need to copy the one that says 'Direct Link' or
'Direct Link for Layouts' or something like that.

6) copy the link into your topic on the forums. If you want the picture to
show up then put [.img] and [/img] around your link (without the . in the first one)
but this is not necessary.

Well Done you have posted your screenshot! Very Happy

**If the picture doesn't show up, at least provide the link to which we can access it!
